Home Furnishings Sales and Design

Are you an outgoing, organized, goal-oriented salesperson who would enjoy helping people with their home furnishings needs? You can start a full or 3/4-time home furnishings sales career with Blackledge Furniture in Corvallis Oregon, the area's leading home furnishings center since 1901. Incentive-based earnings of $2200 - $6,000+ per month, plus benefits, for regular full-time sales associate positions.

Applicants should have strong interpersonal communication skills, customer service experience, and good learning skills. Prior sales experience, good computer and internet skills, and an interest in residential interior design is preferred. The position involves identifying customer needs and helping them to select from a wide range of high value, brand name, home furnishings products in a comfortable, home-like, store environment. We offer complete product and sales training to improve your career skills.

Benefits for full time, 40 hour per week, sales advisers after the training period include group health insurance, life insurance, 12 to 24 days per year of paid personal leave, and an employer-matched retirement plan. Work schedules are 5 days per week on a fixed schedule, but with flexibility for changes to meet your personal needs. We also offer options for extra job initiatives and for future management responsibilities with additional compensation. FURNITURE DELIVERY & REPAIR $16.00 - $17.50

Full time furniture repair, delivery, and warehousing, position with Blackledge Furniture, Corvallis's oldest and largest home furnishings store. Duties include product repair, receiving, home delivery, freight receiving, warehousing, product assembly, and general building and vehicle maintenance.

Applicants should have good independent work initiative and communication skills and the ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds, and safely deliver and place items into homes or businesses. Good driving record, and previous mid size truck driving experience preferred. Prior furniture delivery assembly and repair or general woodworking experience is also preferred, but not required. Full- time work hours are 8:35 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., five days per week on a fixed schedule, but other part-time schedules may be available. Compensation: starting at $16.00 - $17.50+ per hour depending on experience and furniture repair skills, including a monthly safety and performance bonus. We offer incentive-based pay and promotion potential to more skilled positions.

Job Requirements include:
Good physical condition and the ability to safely lift and carry up to 60lb bulky items
A basic understanding of woodworking hand and power tools.
Some previous woodworking, carpentry or building maintenance experience preferred.
High School diploma or GED required, some college work preferred.
Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and prior truck driving experience preferred.
Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and DMV record check.
Applicants should have the ability and experience needed to assemble and carefully inspect products, and to correct minor woodworking problems.
Good communication, personal appearance and customer interaction skills preferred.
All of our staff are vaccinated against Covid 19. and proof of vaccination is required.
